South Cheshire College, Crewe
When it came to sourcing the reception counters for the impressive new £60m South Cheshire College building, the design co-ordinators came to LiDR.
The counters had to reflect the ultra modern surroundings, incorporate eco-friendly materials, meet the day-to-day requirements of the staff, and come in on budget. LiDR took the architect's concept, sourced affordable materials that answered the brief, worked up the designs and 3D visuals, and delivered and installed the end products.
LiDR also supplied laptop drop in stations for the staff area (that featured hardwearing solid laminate tops and flip up power points) and approximately 120 moveable lecterns for each classroom to replace the traditional 'teachers desk' concept with a new flexible solution, tailor made to the ICT requirements.
